DISH Network’s unreasonable demands keep ABC40, CBS 3, and FOX 6 off its service

(WGGB/WSHM) -- It’s now been more than a month since DISH Network pulled ABC40, CBS 3, and FOX 6 and all other television stations owned by Gray Media off its service.
Gray gave DISH multiple extensions during severe weather and important events such as the NFL playoffs, the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics. As soon as those major events passed, DISH became unwilling to reach an agreement.
DISH has a history of yanking your favorite programming from its lineup, having pulled more than 1,000 channels over the last few years.
“Disputes like this one with DISH are extremely rare for Gray. Until this year, we had never had a blackout with a satellite provider, and our last large-scale dispute with a cable operator occurred over a decade ago,” said Hilton Howell, chairman and CEO of Gray Media. “In response to each of our many attempts to resolve this matter, DISH responds by rejecting all proposals, refusing to honor the terms that it earlier had accepted, and adding more outrageous terms to its demands.”
ABC40, CBS 3, and FOX 6 remain available on other subscription television services. DISH customers can make a difference in convincing DISH to restore ABC40, CBS 3, and FOX 6 to its lineup.
