WILBRAHAM, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – A Monson woman is facing several charges after allegedly hitting a road crew worker in Wilbraham.

Mass. State Police said a preliminary investigation indicates a MassDOT crew was working on the eastbound side of the Pike in Wilbraham around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday when an SUV, that reportedly didn’t have its headlights on, drove through the work detail.

One MassDOT worker was hit by the SUV while standing outside of a work vehicle. The SUV driver, identified as 35-year-old Danielle Drouillard of Monson, allegedly continued driving and was found a short time later, pulled over in the breakdown lane.

The worker was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Drouillard was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (second offense), leaving the scene of a personal injury, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Palmer District Court.
