EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- An Easthampton man has been sentenced to four to five years in state prison, after pleading guilty to possessing and disseminating child sexual abuse material.

The investigation into 24-year-old Aleksandr Hobbie stemmed from a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children.

Investigators found more than 4,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material in his possession. Officials also say he distributed those files to more than 300 users online.

Hobbie’s sentence will be followed by 8 years of supervised probation. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
