Emergency repairs to I-291 bridge in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - State transportation officials have shut down a lane on a stretch of highway in Chicopee for emergency repairs to a bridge.
According to the MassDOT, the right lane at the I-291 Westbound bridge over the Chicopee River/Route 141 has been closed down.
This is “for emergency bridge joint repairs,” the MassDOT reported Wednesday afternoon.
No immediate word how long the repair work will last for.
