WESTFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – A father-to-be has more than the impending birth of his child to be excited about.

Mass. Lottery officials said Dylan Jacobus of Otis recently scratched a “$2,500 a Week for Life” scratch ticket and won a grand prize of $2,500 a week for life.

Jacobus chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $2 million, before taxes. He reportedly plans to put the winnings toward his and his expectant wife’s first child and noted that he, according to Mass. Lottery, “is grateful to have this opportunity to put us in the right direction and set us up for success.”

The store from which the winning ticket was purchased, Big Y Express on East Main Street in Westfield, will receive a $26,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
