Fire damages Springfield home, displaces two people

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two people have been displaced after a fire in Springfield.
Springfield Fire Capt. Drew Piemonte said crews were called to 73 Euclid Avenue around 6 a.m. Wednesday for a reported fire. When they arrived, fire was found inside a second floor bedroom.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported. The displaced residents are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
