EASTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Firefighters responded to a house fire on Northampton Street in Easthampton shortly after 5 a.m. Friday.

Crews arrived and found flames showing from the back of an occupied house, with fire extending inside and into the attic. Mutual aid responded from neighboring departments, including Northampton Fire Rescue and an engine from Barnes Air National Guard Base.

Firefighters confirmed everyone got out safely and the fire was under control around 5:45 a.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
