Firefighters extinguish house fire on Springfield’s Ranney Street

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Firefighters have been able to put out a house fire in Springfield.
Springfield Fire Capt. Drew Piemonte said that firefighters were called to 66-68 Ranney Street around 9 a.m. Monday for a report of smoke inside a building.
When they arrived, fire was found in the wall of a second-floor bedroom.
No injuries were reported and nobody was displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad.
