Five displaced after fire burns through first floor of two-story house

LUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Ludlow Fire Department responding to a two-story house, after a motorist passing by alerts them of a fire.
Crews arrived at 1123 East Street just after one a.m. Sunday morning, where they were able to see fire and smoke coming from the back of the house.
The fire was able to be contained on the first floor. The five residents however were displaced and moved to the second floor.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, but it remains under investigation by Ludlow Fire.
