Former Central quarterback transferring to UMass Amherst

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A Springfield Central High School football star just committed to play for UMass Amherst.
Pop Watson spent his first three years as a Virginia Tech Hokie, but played high school ball in western Massachusetts.
The former Massachusetts Player of the Year hasn’t seen much action in Blacksburg and has two years of eligibility left.
He’ll be competing for the starting job once camp starts up this summer.
