Former Springfield Central quarterback transfers to UMass

AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- A football star that once played for Springfield Central High School just committed to UMass Amherst.
Pop Watson spent his first three years as a Virginia Tech hokie, but played high school ball right here in western Mass.
The former Massachusetts Player of the Year hasn’t seen much action in Blacksburg and has two years of eligibility left.
He’ll be competing for the starting job once camp starts up this summer.
