Four Western Mass groups win MassDOT’s ‘Name-a-Snowplow’ contest

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- The results are in! We can now reveal the winners of MassDOT’s “Name A Snowplow” contest! We had a total of 4 winners here in western Mass.

In the kindergarten through 4th grade bracket, we have Tabitha Shearer’s 4th grade class at Colrain Central School. They won with their name, “Master Snowda.”

While Aimee Carvalho’s 2nd grade class at Harris Brook Elementary School in Ludlow won with “Frost Responder”.

There were also two winners from the 5th to 8th grade submissions. Gina Wagner’s 5th class at Lanesborough Elementary School, which came up with “The Blizzard Boss” and Kristin Carey’s 6th grade class who won with “Thaw Patrol.”
