SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- The Healey-Driscoll Administration has made their latest investment towards making the outdoors accessible for all with $190K given in grants.

There are the six different awardees in our part of the state. In Pittsfield, they will use this money for a number of different projects, including Inclusive Outdoor Skating and Community Ice Programs.

Here in Hampden County, a grant was given to ‘Biking in Nature for Seniors’.

The goal is to make outdoor spaces more accessible to those with mobility challenges, such as those with disabilities and seniors.
