Hispanic American library hosts Three Kings event

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - People gathered at Springfield Union Station to celebrate Three Kings’ Day.
The Hispanic-American Library’s hosted the annual event, highlighting the wise men’s biblical journey, often celebrated by Hispanic communities. Alongside a reenactment of that journey were food, music, and gifts.
Executive Director and Founder of the Hispanic American Library, Juan Folcan, tell us why they continue to put this event on yearly, saying, “We do understand Santa Claus and the concept of Santa Claus, but this is a Latin-American perspective. And at the Hispanic American library we try to promote Latin American perspective. This just happens to be Three King’s celebration, and we’re always honored when we have the opportunity to engage the kids, engage the parents, and engage the community.”
