Holyoke Police arrest 2 women after gun, drug investigation

HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Two Holyoke women are facing several charges after a Springfield Police investigation.
Holyoke Police said that, over the last few months, Springfield Police had been investigating 25-year-old Angelique Tiwari of Holyoke for alleged illegal possession of guns and drugs. Based on the investigation, detectives were granted a search warrant for a home on Pearl Street in Holyoke.
Around 10:15 a.m. Friday, the warrant was executed and Tiwari and 22-year-old Aaliyah Dansereau of Holyoke were detained, pending the result of the search. During the search, investigators reportedly seized a high-capacity gun magazine loaded with 31 rounds of ammunition, 15 rounds of ammunition, another magazine that was loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition, five bags of marijuana, nearly $500 in case, and approximately 455 bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl.
Tiwari and Dansereau were both arrested and are facing several gun and drug-related charges.
The case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
