Holyoke Police: suspect in $30,000 mall robbery arrested in Florida
HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A man in Florida is awaiting extradition to Massachusetts, accused of a robbery at the Holyoke Mall.
Holyoke Police said 48-year-old Ricardo Cotto was arrested in Volusia County, FL last month after being charged with robbery with a firearm.
In January, Cotto allegedly asked to look at several pieces of jewelry at a store in the mall before taking off with $30,000 worth of items.
Cotto was identified as a suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued. Once his case is complete in Florida, he will be returned to Massachusetts to face charges.
