Honorary chair announced for 2026 World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- The Spirit of Springfield has announced that the honorary chair for the 2026 World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast will be State Representative Carlos Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was presented his coveted blue and white Spirit of Springfield jacket at MGM Springfield this morning in front of city leaders and first responders.
He told Western Mass News that he started going to the pancake breakfast when he was a young man and now, he’s even more excited to go with his grandchildren this year. “I’m deeply humbled for this recognition,” Gonzalez explained. “Continue to provide a place where families, friends come together and enjoy thousands of smiles and different diversity that the great Springfield has.”
The World’s Largest Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16 on Main Street in Springfield.
