I-91 in Enfield closed due to overturned vehicle

ENFIELD, Conn. (WFSB) - A crash closed a portion of Interstate 91 in Enfield on Thursday morning.

The state Department of Transportation said the highway was closed on the southbound side between exits 47E and 46.

The CT DOT said a vehicle overturned in the area around 6:30 a.m.

State police said the driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

There’s no word on a cause.
