Ludlow man arrested after naked attack on dog walker

LUDLOW, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A Ludlow man has been arrested after allegedly threatening a dog walker while naked on River Walk Sunday morning.

The dog walker said the man, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Marano, allegedly threatened him with a weapon, attacked him and his dog, and even choked the dog. Officers were able to arrest Marano without issue

Ludlow Police Chief Michael Brennan said in statement, in part, “Our officers handled this difficult situation with compassion and professionalism. They followed their training, took the suspect into custody without violence, and no one involved in this incident suffered serious injuries.”

Marano now faces several charges including assault and battery, animal cruelty, and indecent exposure.
