Lupa Zoo announces Thursday closure amid dangerous heat

LUDLOW, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - It’s not just people who need to escape the extreme heat.
Lupa Zoo in Ludlow has announced that it’ll be closed Thursday due to the skyrocketing temps. In a post on social media, the zoo said it’s not just for their animals, but also the safety of their guests.
They added their staff will also be taking added precautions, such as staying in the shade and conducting cooling operations.
