WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Majestic Theater Founding Producing Director Danny Eaton was honored with a stage naming ceremony in West Springfield Monday night.

Eaton has been with the Majestic Theater since they were founded in 1997. Members of the board surprised him months ago by asking to name the stage after him.

He tells Western Mass News the majestic is a very special place, and a terrific option when choosing a theater to see a show, but he adds the real honor goes beyond a name on a plaque, saying the people help produce the passion.

“You know, that’s a good question. I think it’s all these people, like all the people you see here tonight, and all the connections that they’ve made with one another. I mean, if there’s any kind of legacy, it’s not a sign on the wall. That’s really it, you know,” Eaton explains.

So, next time you’re there, make sure to look above the doors as you enter.
