Man hospitalized with serious injuries after Springfield stabbing

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Authorities are investigating a reported stabbing in Springfield.

Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said officers were called to the 1200 block of East Columbus Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

When police arrived, they found a man who had been cut with an unknown object. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Springfield Police detective bureau.
