WARE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- 34-year-old Louis Paul Suzor is now in the custody of the Newton Kansas Police Department, following an investigation by the Ware Police Department and Massachusetts State Police for rape. He is currently being held as a Fugitive from Justice.

Suzor was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 25th. Ware Police Department Detectives along with Detectives from the Hampshire County State Police Detective Unit began investigating Suzor in November of last year.

The incident under investigation happened about 15 years ago. Officials say Suzor has more recently been sending threats and harassing both the victim and their family. Detectives were able to get a warrant for his arrest on March 16th.

Suzor left Massachusetts a few years back, and has been living in Newton, Kansas for the last few years. The arrest warrant was entered into the Criminal Justice Information System with full extradition on March 25th, and the Newton Kansas Police Department executed the warrant within hours of that warrant being entered into the system.

Suzor will continue to be held by Kansas police, until he is able to be brought back to Massachusetts. He is set to be taken to the Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown.
