Massachusetts launches summer scavenger hunt across state parks

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has announced the return of its Park Passport Challenge.
This challenge invites all residents and visitors to explore the state’s parks, forests, playgrounds, watersheds, and more through a free statewide scavenger hunt.
Starting June 20 through November 1, you can collect stamps from 12 featured DCR. They are unique to each location, kept in locked yellow boxes, and are placed in locations that are accessible for participants of varying ages and abilities
In western Massachusetts, three of the park locations are in Holyoke, Amherst, and Pittsfield. Participants who collect all 12 stamps will be entered into a grand prize raffle.
To learn how to submit your prize form, see all 12 locations, and get the coordinates and combinations for the stamp boxes, you can visit the DCR’s Park Passport Challenge webpage.
