MassDOT announces Mother’s Day overnight closures on I-291
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - If you have any late night plans on Mother’s Day, you may want to plan ahead.
MassDOT has announced overnight closures on I-291 on Sunday for sign installment and maintenance.
If you take I-291 eastbound at the Exit 2 off-ramp, traffic will be detoured eastbound on I-291 to Exit 3, right onto Liberty Street, and right onto Chestnut Street.
For I-291 eastbound at the Exit 5A off-ramp, you’LL be detoured to Exit 4, right onto Page Boulevard, and continue right onto Page Boulevard.
Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
