Monson authorities’ alert users of scam calls and texts

MONSON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- The Monson fire department released a statement on their Facebook Monday morning saying if you get a text message like the one below, ignore it. You’re being scammed.

If you ever see something like this pop-up on your phone, do not reply. Just delete and report the message.

Similarly, Monson police stated just a week before that members of the community have been receiving scam texts claiming to be USPS regarding “urgent delivery issues” and calls about “approved loans”.
