More than 1,000 athletes compete in Hooplandia basketball tournament

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The northeast’s premier 3x3 basketball tournament wrapped up Sunday in Springfield.
More than 1,000 athletes across over 300 teams registered to compete in this year’s Hooplandia. The majority of games occurred at the Eastern States Exposition Saturday and Sunday, while Sunday’s division championships took place at the Basketball Hall of Fame.
In the pro-am division, championship winners team “Hoop Forever” took home $2,500 cash for the second year in a row.
