More than 200 runners celebrate Father’s Day at Springfield road race

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - People gathered at the Springfield Jewish Community Center Sunday for their 46th annual Father’s Day road race.
The race welcomed athletes of all interests and abilities for a 10k, 5k, or a one-mile walk or run.
The event took a hiatus last year, but organizers said the race is not only back, but bigger. “It has grown. It took a lot to get back to where we are now here, but I’m excited to see how it goes in the next generation,”
More than 200 people participated in the race and 30 others volunteered to help out.
