Motorcyclist dead after Springfield crash

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - One person is dead after a crash in Springfield Tuesday night.
Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said officers responded to the area of Nantasket Street and Parker Street around 6:50 p.m. for a reported crash between a motorcycle and car.
The adult male motorcycle rider was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. His identity has not been released.
Walsh noted that the driver of the car stayed at the scene and the crash is under investigation by the department’s traffic unit.
