CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- If you drive through Chicopee, you can expect construction and delays on two busy state roads this April. MassDOT is resurfacing East Main Street from Belcher Street to Baltimore Avenue.

Sidewalk and curb ramp work begins Wednesday, followed by additional work starting as early as April 23rd. Crews are also resurfacing Memorial Drive, from Sheridan Street up into South Hadley, with work expected to begin soon near that intersection.

MassDOT is asking drivers to use alternate routes when possible.
