New pizza restaurant opens in Springfield’s Sixteen Acres neighborhood
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Paddy’s Irish Pub in Springfield launched a brand new addition Friday as Paddy’s Pizza officially opened next door.
The new pizza joint offers a variety of pizza slices including New York style slices. They will also serve both cold and hot sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno was the first to try one of the new slices earlier.
“It’s honestly the most full circle thing that I think I’ve had happen in my life. Going from DJing next door for 10 years to seeing what paddy’s could always be, especially with Peppa’s and the other previous restaurants, now we can just put our own flavor here and see what we could do for the community,” said Paddy’s Pizza co-owner Bryan Borges-Vega.
This weekend, Paddy’s will only be serving pizza, but you can get full access to their menu when Monday rolls around.
