Northampton restaurants working to reduce amount of take-out trash

NORTHAMPTON, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- Restaurants in Northampton are stepping up to help reduce the amount of trash being produced in the city.
Several businesses are teaming up with the nonprofit Clean Water Action and Recirclable, a company who helps provide free reusable take-out containers which customers can check out and later return, similar to a library book.
Customers just download the Recirclable app and it will tell you where and how to return the containers free of charge. This helps eliminate single-use take-out containers that usually end up in the trash.
