One injured in late-morning shooting on Liberty Street in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Police are investigating a late-morning shooting in Springfield.
Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh said officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on the 700 block of Liberty Street around 11 a.m. Thursday.
A short time later, an adult male shooting victim arrived at Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Springfield Police detective bureau.
