One man dead following scooter-involved crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Around 11 p.m. Saturday night in Springfield, officers responded to the 800 block of Boston Road for a crash involving an SUV and a power scooter.
The scooter driver, an identified man, was taken to Baystate, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
