One person injured in Springfield basement fire

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – An investigation is underway following a morning fire in Springfield.
Firefighters responded to 145 Enfield Street around 4:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Springfield Fire Capt. Drew Piemonte. When crews arrived, they found a fire in the basement, which was quickly extinguished.
One person inside the home was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad.
