WARE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – A personal care assistant is facing charges after allegedly pointing a gun at her client during an argument.

Ware Police said that a person with disabilities called them on Thursday to report that he and his PCA, identified as 34-year-old Miranda Lemos, were having an argument over property. It’s alleged that Lemos pulled out a gun and pointed it at the person and threatened him.

The person then called police, but Lemos fled before officers arrived. She was located later in the day and was arrested, during which the gun was reportedly found on her person and determined to be an airsoft/BB gun.

Lemos, whom police said is homeless, has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a disabled person, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and larceny over $1,200 by false pretense. Bail was set at $100,000 and she is expected to be arraigned Friday in Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown.
