Pittsfield firefighters rescue cat from tree

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Pittsfield firefighters have reunited a cat with its owner after it got stuck in a tree.
Witnesses say the cat was about 30-feet up in this tree on Francis Avenue for days unable to get itself down. So, a probationary firefighter broke out the ladder and managed to coax the cat toward her, before bringing her back down to earth where an animal control officer was waiting.
The cat is a little malnourished after being stuck up there for so long, but luckily, it’s expected to be alright.
