Pittsfield man arrested on assault, drug charges

PITTSFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Pittsfield Police responded to an apartment on North Street Tuesday after they received a report about a man threatening others with a gun around 6:30 p.m.
Officers said they were able to arrest 22-year-old Ixander Pereira without incident and no one inside the apartment was hurt.
Pereira now faces assault and drug charges after police found heroin on him during his arrest.
