Plymouth plane crash sends pilot to hospital with serious injuries

PLYMOUTH, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – One person has been hospitalized after a small plane crashed in Plymouth.

Plymouth fire officials said emergency crews responded to Curlew Pond, a pond located within Myles Standish State Forest, around 7:30 a.m. Thursday after the two-seat plane crashed.

Once on-scene, crews recovered the pilot from the water. That person suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The investigation is ongoing as to whether there was anyone else on the plane.

The crash remains under investigation.
