Report released addressing ‘State of Antisemitism in America’

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- The American Jewish Committee released a new report Tuesday that reportedly showed most American Jews are changing their daily behavior out of fear.
According to the AJC, 31 percent of respondents said they were the target of antisemitic incidents and nine-in-ten feel less safe as a Jewish person in the United States.
In addition, 73 percent of respondents saw or heard antisemitic content online or in person, 93 percent believe antisemitism is a serious problem in the U.S., and 86 percent said it’s increased since the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel.
The AJC report cited several incidents from the past year, which include an attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s home last April, the murders of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington D.C. in May, and a firebombing in Boulder, CO in June.
