Roads in Monson closed due to downed powerlines

MONSON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Monson Police say Lower Hampden Road at Ely Road is currently closed due to downed electrical lines and tree limbs.

They say National Grid is working on repairs, meanwhile there are over 400 customers currently without power.

They are asking that you avoid the area until it is cleared.

Those looking to the west of the area of 127 Lower Hampden Road should use Wood Hill Road or May Hill Road.
