Route 9 is temporally shut down as police investigate scene
SPENCER, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- We have been receiving reports of heavy police in Spencer on Tuesday evening.
MassDOT has confirmed Route 9 between West Main Street and South Spencer Road will be temporarily shut down while the investigation is ongoing.
According to our sister station NewsCenter 5, Spencer police confirmed that there was a police investigation at the plaza and have asked drivers to avoid the area.
Western Mass News has reached out to the Spencer Police Department, but they said they were unavailable for comment at this time.
