School bus driver medical emergency leads to police rescue

CHESTER, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- A school bus carrying students was reported overdue around 4:34 p.m. on Tuesday in Chester.

We were told by Massachusetts State Police that patrols were notified, and the Russell Police Department was able to locate the bus. All of the children on the bus were accounted for.

Beckett EMS was called, and the bus driver was transported to Noble Hospital. At this time, we are unaware of the state of the driver.

A secondary bus was called to the scene to transfer all of the students.
