Second suspect arrested in connection with Springfield murder

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- A Chicopee man has been arrested in connection to a murder in Springfield.
Joey Sanchez, 27, was arrested around 7 a.m. Friday and is believed to be the second suspect in the shooting and murder of 27-year-old Shain West of Springfield on November 30.
The first suspect, 21-year-old Daevon Shular of Seguin, TX, was arrested on December 1 at Baystate Medical Cneter where he was treated for non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.
Both men now face murder and several gun-related charges.
