Seven people displaced in late-night Springfield house fire

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Several people have been displaced after a Springfield house fire.
Springfield Fire Capt. Drew Piemonte said crews were called to 56-58 Ardmore Street around 10:50 p.m. and found fire in a second-floor bedroom when they arrived.
The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Piemonte noted that seven people have been displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
The city’s Arson and Bomb Squad is investigating what caused the fire.
