AGAWAM, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- Six Flags New England announced Thursday they’re opening this season with a brand new roller coaster.

The park is set to debut Quantum Accelerator, which is billed as New England’s first dual-launch straddle coaster. The ride was introduced in 2024 and was originally slated to open during the 2025 season, but it was announced in June that they did not “want to rush the process” and delayed the opening to 2026.

Season passholders get first access to the new coaster during opening weekend on Saturday, April 11 with all other guests able to ride starting Friday, April 17.

The park also kicks off spring break days and daily operation through April 26. Six Flags says it’s also rolling out new food options and special events throughout the 2026 season.
