Southwick golf club reaches 25-year milestone with celebration
SOUTHWICK, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Congratulations are in order in Southwick where The Ranch Golf Club marked its 25th anniversary on Friday.
The club said old and new members gathered for a whole slate of events to celebrate including the debut of a brand new clock that was built for the property and a tournament for those who want to spend time on the green. The Floyd Patterson Band is also coming in to play at the event hall Friday night.
Joseph Carlone, the head golf professional at The Ranch, told us why he thinks people have kept coming back to the course and what they’ve been able to do for the community over the last two-and-a-half decades. “From the first time you pull up until the last time you leave, the hospitality is off the charts. We have a lot of charity events, which we do on Mondays typically, and you always come out and support the community and get involved. We’ve hosted us open qualifiers and other various qualifiers for Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as section events, and we have a program this year for the Connecticut section So, very reputable course, championship course, and whatever we can do to help the community around here, we do it quite a bit,” he explained.
Members of The Ranch said that they’re not just looking back at the last 25 years, but are also looking forward to 25 more.
