Springfield beach reopens after bacteria-related shutdown
SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A Springfield beach area, which had been close, has reopened.
Springfield’s Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris said Monday the beach at Camp Wilder is back open after it had been closed due to an unhealthy level of bacteria.
The city has received its water test results, which show those levels are now back within the normal limits.
