Springfield cold case closed after suspect identified in 1995 murder

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni has announced an update in a 31-year-old cold case.
Back on June 2, 1995, Celestina Perez was found murdered in Gurdon Bill Park in Springfield. On Wednesday, Gulluni said her case was solved.
Investigators determined that Jospeh Ceravolo Jr. killed the 24-year-old mother of four children. However, since Ceravolo died in 2013, the case is now closed.
