Springfield DPW working to repair traffic light at busy intersection

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - If you’ve noticed the traffic lights flashing yellow at the intersection of Pasco Road and Page Boulevard in Springfield recently, the city’s Department of Public Works said they’re aware of the issue.
They said Wednesday that the traffic controller behind a guardrail was hit by a car after it went over a snowbank. It was badly damaged and needed to be rebuilt from scratch with new wiring and a new signal timing plan.
The new controller is going through the requiring testing phases. While the DPW didn’t give a timeline, they said they hope to install it as soon as possible.
